Frequently Asked Questions
[Q] I haven't done CAD Level 1 course but I have been using the software for some time, can I do CAD Level 2 now?
[A] No. You need to have completed the CAD Level 1 course to understand what is happening in CAD level 2. You could enroll in CAD Level 1 and just whiz though the videos to see what needs to be understood.
[Q] Will I get support whilst I am doing the training?
[A] Yes. You can simply email the support team and they will assist you if you need help.
[Q] I have quite a few problems with hatching and sharing files with associates, will this course help?
[A] Yes. Advanced hatching and file sharing are covered in the course.
[Q] I really enjoyed CAD Level 1. Is this course similar.. who is the tutor on the videos?
[A] This course is based on the same methods taught in level 1 and yes we have the same teacher narrating the videos. (Bill)
[Q] How long do I have to complete the course?
[A] The CAD Level 2 training course lasts for three months and can be extended (at additional cost) if you run out of time. The course starts when you log in and register the first time. This means you can pay for the course now but you don't have to start the course straight away.
[Q] Do I have to purchase the CAD software first?
[A] No, you can complete the CAD training with the evaluation version of RealCAD or LANDWorksCAD as none of the exercises contain more than 100 entities, which is the limit for the evaluation version.
System Requirements
Before you begin you will need:
- to have a PC or Mac running Windows XP, Vista or 7
- a good quality mouse with a scroll wheel for zooming and panning. You can not successfully use a touch-pad found on notebooks.
- reasonable speed internet connection to view the video content. (Dialup is just too slow and frustrating).
- An open and relaxed mindset with an ability to also have fun whilst you are learning :)
(*) Note: You can complete the course with the evaluation version of the RealCAD or LANDWorksCAD. You do not need to purchase a license of the software to complete the course
