What does this program include?

The functions under this menu have been provided as a tool to help create a 3D model of steel fram buildings. Connections are not included.

A certain level of 3D drafting knowledge is required to use these functions correctly.

Members

Programs require the user to nominate the member size, orientation (in relation to WCS), click OK and indicate the requested key point(s) along the member centroid.

• I Beam - program to draw full 3D solid of an I Beam.
• PF Channel - program to draw full 3D solid of a Parallel Flange Channel.
• Angle - program to draw full 3D solid of a Angle (EA or UEA).
• Pipe - program to draw full 3D solid of a Pipe.
• Tube - program to draw full 3D solid of a Tube.
• Purlin - program to draw full 3D solid of a Purlin.
• Fascia Purlin - program to draw full 3D solid of a Fascia Purlin.

Wire Frames

• Simple Portal - program requires the input of column heights, ridge node points, click OK and indicate the base of the two portal columns.
• Propped Portal - program requires the input of column heights, ridge node points, click OK and indicate the base of the two portal columns. An intermediate column is drawn at the nominate distance from the first column.
• Portal End Wall - program requires the input of column heights, ridge node points, click OK and indicate the base of the two portal columns. Intermediate wind mullions are drawn at the nominated distance from the first column.
• Tower - program requires the input of column heights and intermediate beam heights, click OK and indicate the base of the two columns.
• Trestle - program requires the input of column heights, taper and intermediate beam heights, click OK and indicate the base of the two columns.
