RealCAD has the most versatile drawing features of any CAD software in its class. You do not have to be a computer guru to do task we believe should always be simple. New hatch patterns and line styles for instance can simply be drawn on screen and saved...no need to be a programmer to create them. In fact anything you draw can become an instant hatch pattern, line style or library object.

Even bitmaps can be used as hatch patterns allowing for elaborate artistic results that provide clarity for the client and creativity for the user. For the first time RealCAD harmoniously combines graphics with precision CAD.

Not only can you fill an area with flat colour, you can also provide graded tonal fills, blending any two colours creatively, adding depth to your designs.

Uniquely, the dynamic cursor will tell you just how far you're cursor is moving in real scale. This combined with snaps, grids and coordinate entry means no more guess work when needing absolute precision.

Photographs and other images can be incorporated into your drawing sheets too, embellishing any drawing to the highest professional standard.

Any drawing can be inserted as a library object (figure). These objects can remain linked to the library so that changes to the library object are instantly reflected in every drawing that contains them or they can be separated (exploded) from the library for independent editing if desired.

RealCAD unique proprietary method of accurately locating snap points in a drawing gives total confidence that your line work is dimensionally accurate, every time.

Use RealCAD with any Windows application such as Word, Excel and Photoshop etc, Combine drawings into your letters, quotations, brochures or web site publishing. You can even cut and paste between two or more drawing files at the same time, saving valuable time. Basic Windows Edit, Cut, Copy and Paste and Undo commands are also used for faster drawing manipulation within the CAD software.

Have multiple drawings at different scales on one or more 'virtual' drawing sheets and let RealCAD automatically handle the size of text and dimensions to suit. You'll never need to draw to scale again. Paste multiple views on your virtual page and as one view is updated, all the related views automatically update. What's more, each view has its own layers that you can switch on or off to display different information without having to redraw a thing.

Multiple 'sheets' can be open at the same time in a single file, keeping all drawings in one job together. Multiple sessions of the software can also be open at the same time allowing you to work between multiple jobs at the same time.

Complex line styles can be created just by drawing them once on screen and saving them for future use. Again, no programming skills required.

Unlike any other professional level CAD software, RealCAD introduces the ability to arrange items just like desktop publishing software. Items can be 'sent to the back' or 'brought to the front' to make selected objects obscure (overlap) others as desired.

Any dimension style you need is available including tolerance settings, arrow types and textural attributes. All elements of the dimensions can be altered and text can be moved whilst remaining associated to the dimension lines. Alter the object size and the dimension updates, Alter the dimension and the object updates!

Layers can be named, switched on or off, be used to select desired objects, and can even be used to display different items in each separate view on your sheet. A convenient layer gives the user quick access to layer controls. In essence, RealCAD's layer tools give you full control over what you see, locate and edit in your drawing.

Colours are infinitely variable and can be used both for artistic effect and to differentiate parts of the drawing or line styles etc. You can even search for all items of the same colour when making sweeping changes to your drawings.

RealCAD's 'sketch and stretch' technology allow items can be roughed in and later stretched to the desired size. Fast and easy. Basic library objects can even be parametrically modified by simply adjusting the dimension itself. Items such as hatch patterns & dimensions update automatically as objects are stretched into new positions. The unlimited undo and redo allows users to be quite carefree as they work, secure in the knowledge that they can go back to any stage in the drawing, not just to the last function.

RealCAD's 'Groups' allow any set of selected objects to be "glued together" as one allowing easy selection and editing inside complex drawings. Very handy when working on complex assemblies or even a group of related items such as a table and chairs that need to stay together.

Scanned drawings can be imported into RealCAD where they can be accurately rescaled with ease, and used as an underlay for your CAD drawings. Ideal too for aerial photographs and site plan information.

Photographs and other Bitmap images can be incorporated into your drawing sheets too, allowing for complex logo's and illustrations as part of any drawing.

All 3D visual formats are supported, providing 'wire frame', 'visible line', 'hidden line', 'shaded', 'rendered' or a combination of any view all on the same sheet. The command s to achieve all this are very simple too.

Flexible Multi-Workplanes make the task of modelling in 3D fast and pleasurable. RealCAD provides users with the ability to have as many work planes as desired. By simply clicking on the ghosted image of a workplane it becomes active. You can be in any model view and work on any position on the model. Rotating the model is a simple click and move operation too.

All the typical tools you would find in more expensive software can be found in RealCAD to produce intricate 3D parts and assemblies.

Profiles in RealCAD can be as simple as a basic extrusion to as complex as following complex paths and generating the correct mitred corners as it goes.

For the most rapid editing of any CAD software, RealCAD provides a 'Magic Eraser'. Simply hold the Alt key and drag your mouse over the lines you wish to trim or delete and they magically trim or disappear.

And when you are drawing the dynamic cursor can tell you just how far you're moving. RealCAD is simple to use and yet more powerful than any other 2D CAD software in the entire range.

RealCAD's Linked Multi-view handling allows for any number of 3D and 2D views to be worked on at the same time. All changes made in any view are reflected in every other view, and even onto the Layout Sheets. multiple views can be seen concurrently and the user can swap from one view to another whilst in the middle of an operation.

RealCAD PRO+ is the next level up from RealCAD PRO and gives you the tools to create photo realistic renderings of your 3D models right inside RealCAD.

A wide array of lights including spot, ambient, direct and sunlight mimic real light sources and provide full control of brightness, angle, colour and effect etc

Lights can be positioned anywhere in the model and can be switch on or off to create different effects without having to delete them or reinsert them. Sunlight can be placed by simply nominating the place and time.

Surfaces can have any combination of materials and textures applied to them including scanned images and bump maps generated by RealCAD itself. Curved, rotated and flat surfaces are all treated equally.

Transparency, reflectivity and other properties such as ambience are controllable globally or for each selected surface individually.

Users can produce a high speed miniature rendering of their views before committing to a full render. Various qualities of rendering are provided to enhance appearance or speed.

Many users will want to export their renderings into Photoshop PhotoImpact or any other image manipulation software to add even more finishing touches to their presentations. Images are saved in standard image formats for post processing and enahnacement.

Allow movie scenes to be rendered in wire frame, hidden line, shaded or fully ray-traced formats. Be the director of your own mini movie files. Movie files are saved in industry standard AVI format and can have a varying degree of compression and quality applied depending on your needs.

Just set up paths along which lights, objects, cameras and focal points may move. These paths can be as simple as a single point or as complex as a 3D curve. All objects can be rotated or scaled for the duration of their appearance in each scene. Items can also be made to appear or disappear during the scene. Lights can be switched on or off during the scene facilitating real life situations.

Patch objects can even be 'morphed' to display the progressive changes in form from one position to another. A cube can morph into a sphere for instance.

It doesn't take long to learn how to make animations and is a natural progression from modelling and rendering in 3D with RealCAD PRO or PRO+

Whilst not a TV broadcast studio level program these tools allow any creative individual the ability to produce professional results that would be ideal for client presentations as well as authoring for the web.
